Happy 4th of July if you celebrate here in the USA. 

I questioned whether I should send out an update today as a lot of folks are busy this summer holiday, but realized I won't get another update out till Monday and then it will only be 5 days left!!! I have a couple of bits of news!

• New Stretch Goals
• Leg Kit parts arrived
• Walnut Easels

It has gone very quickly. I have answered tons of questioning in the private messenger, comments section and by email and it has been an overwhelmingly positive experience. So many people just love our products!

I got an message from Amber who did a mostly non-compensated video for us with "a meeple family" at bottom of page, it's awesome. That being said, this dear lady saw her video and bought a oak table from us.

I can not tell you how tickled I got watching her video. She is in love! She was so well versed in our product and she made this video just because she wanted to show people just how good these tables really are. 

Susan is so delightful, I kept going over to my wife to show her the enthusiasm she displayed. Thank you Susan for doing this. I hope to meet you some day!

New Stretch Goals - We have a bit of time left and quite a bit of marketing energy going out, but we need some help getting over the hump and gaining some momentum. This is not our first rodeo so to speak. Many of you know, the last few days tend to go big, similar to what we do on the first few days, so we are hopeful we can move the needle and get to $200,000. Please help share the word!

Leg kits

We just received some of the parts. I apologize for he delay. We paid to have these parts be air freighted a month ago, but a miscommunication happened from our supplier and they ended up getting slow boat shipped. It is a bit frustrating working in the manufacturing world with many moving parts and until you work in this side of the industry I'm sure it seems like it should be easier than it looks, but it is par for the course -these thing happen. 

The good news is... the parts we received look and perform better than expected. We have worked with this manufacture for 4 years and have had very good success. We have also been prototyping the new quick attach center support system in 5 conventions for over a year. It works great. Those that know me know I have a high standard. Due to the holiday week end I was unable to get a video done, but we did set up a Mycroft and show some quick pictures to give you an idea of how great this new solution works.

The Mycroft pictures below has 2 quick attach center supports. Because it is 48" wide it uses 2 legs for each support. It's a bit overkill, but does add to some stability. The legs are significantly recessed so you do not hit your legs or chairs with them. In fact, you hardly see them when sitting or standing next to the table.

This is what it looks like from the underside. You simply attach the legs to the center support plate, go under the table and place between the section of the topper at an angle and level.

Of course, the Holmes and Watson only have 2 sections, so you only need 1 center support and 1 leg attached to the center of the steel plate.  We are very happy with the support the legs give. We also have an inside connecter splice that secures the aluminum rail to be very solid and attaches with 1 screw, so super easy to install and take apart in minutes. I'll do my best to make a video Monday.

• Walnut Easel

Lastly, We have had several request to make a walnut Easel for those of our backers that have Walnut inlay rails. (We currently do not offering)

Josh is working on sourcing some walnut so that we can do our best to closely finish match. This will be a higher price, but once we get the numbers back I will let you know if it is feasible an what we can offer them for. Normally low volume production is very difficult but Josh is a very good craftsman and can cut the parts at the same time and said he'd be willing to do it if we could source the lumber okay.

Greetings Game Topper Nation,

Happy 4th of July Weekend! My family loves MN summers. We get together at a lake near our home. Lots of grillin',swimmin' and game playing. 

We have a half Watson we call "The Hudson" in our camper. Just by adding the rail to half of the Watson or Holmes you can have a perfect mini topper for all kinds of applications. This fits perfect on the picnic table and we love playing on it outside too. It keeps all the cards and bits from falling off.

Amber Scharf who did our amazing Nature Mat has been working on the new underwater world mat. She just sent me an update of what she has in progress.

There is still quite a bit of detail that she will add, but I was so thrilled to see this, I just had to share with you.

Player easel update: 6-26

Greetings Game Topper Nation!

• We had a very successful Origins Trade Show!! Thank you all for stopping by that where there.
• It is a major undertaking doing a trade show at our scale and running a Kickstarter campaign. I have been pushing pretty hard.
•  I am  going camping for a family planned trip this weekend, but have had many requests to get a functionality video for the easel, so I have spent the morning producing this to get to you before the weekend. It was a huge hit at Origins. We had several people join the Kickstarter right there just to get the Easel.  It's a home spun production, but I think you see how cool these 4 in 1 easel's are.

• This video shows the functionality of our 4 in 1 easel/tray. The versatility with magnetic tray and muti-positional easel is really useful, and the craftmanship is very nice with laser engraved artwork from Brent Woodside and Josh Shafron. Don't miss the announcement  for a special Stretch Goal in the video towards end.

Other news:

• It looks like the the production Leg Kit has just arrived at the port in the states and we should hopefully have in the next week sometime, so we can show you an quick assembly video soon. I'll keep you up to date.
• We will have an art update soon coming from Amber Scharf on the Underwater World Mat. I'm super excited to be showing this off. She really does amazing work.
• Our very own Raymond From Board Game Heaven who started backing Game Toppers over 6 years ago made an amazing video of several of the mats he owns. He put a lot of time into this and it really shows how versatile and how many wonderful options everyone has.

I'll be continuing to work on items for the campaign while I'm gone camping, but it might not answer every question immediately, thankfully we have Josiah and Raymond to help.

Greetings Game Topper Nation from Origins Trade Fair,

I wanted to make a quick update before our 2 day journey home.

I wanted to thank all of you that stopped by the booth. So much fun meeting you all. The 301 mats in the Open play are was amazing! 

We have unlocked several stretch goals including the Double mat bundle!   We have also had several requests to bring back our XL sizes in a 2x mat bundle savings. These are some of our most expensive to produce, but if we hit some goals, I'm will to let loose the savings. We are close to unlocking this amazing Game Topper accessory bank with spinner. Greetings Game Topper Nation from the Origins trade show in Columbus Ohio!

Thanks you all so much we have come so far in so little time, but we have a bunch more to share. Keep checking back to see what stretch goals will be unlocked.

We are at the origins Game Fair. We have a nice sized booth there and locals come to know us. We have our big Top Hat hanging. I love this thing. We have just been blitzed! So much fun seeing old friends and meeting new ones!!!

Oh my goodness!!! People are raving about the new Viking (we are showing it in a young sherlock Lestrade,) and the High Fantasy table (shown in Watson with our new prototype leg kit)

We have a 3 year sponsorship with GAMA where we provided 301 new 8ft playmats for the open play area. Gama/Origins has made a huge commitment to making a premium gaming space for people. It's is truly epic.
