Greetings Game Topper Nation!

Thank you all for your support of our Game Toppers 5.0 -One table to rule them all campaign. 

It was a very exciting finish! Most companies launch their pledge manager and late pledge preorder stores many months after the end of a campaign, but even though it puts additional after campaign work, we tend to launch quickly so we can quickly start the acquisition process of all new items and get the ball rolling as soon as possible.

• What is the pledge manager survey?

This is where you will be presented a series of questions that will allow you to select your preferences from your Kickstarter reward level you chose.  for example: If you pledged for the Watson Topper it will ask you if you want the storage bag and it will show you the cost, you select yes or no. It's very simple to follow.  It will allow you to select your mat from a pull down menu. After you answer the survey, you can then add any additional items... for instance, say you wanted the double mat bundle to add two more mats, then you will have a pull down menu to make your selections.(You can also change your reward level if you want to upgrade... for example: from the standard Holmes to the Oak Limited Edition Topper)

Please make sure you are checking your spam filters and have your email that you used in Kickstarter in your approved list from [email protected]

• Smoke Test:   What is it?

If you are new to pledge managers, this is simply a small sample of pledge manager surveys that goes out to about 5 percent of the backers. If you have received this early test it would be helpful if you could please fill out as soon as possible. (Of course, if you are contemplating your purchase take your time and do what is best for you) This sample lets us know if there is anything that need fixing or if we have missed something.

• When will the rest of the Pledge Manager surveys go out?

I'm so glad you asked. 😊 We will send those out on Monday 28th. This will allow us to evaluate everything.   Josiah will be available Monday to answer any questions or concerns you may have with the survey at [email protected]

I will be off to Gen Con. We do not have a booth there, but we have a bunch of publishers like...Asmodee, Lucky Duck Games, Arcane Wonders, Ares games, CGE, Inside Up Games, Renegade Games Studios and others that will have their toppers in their booths. You will probably see Scott, Kelly and I in our Top Hats. Make sure to say hi and get a picture. I may or may not have some homemade smoked backpack Jerky. 

• What if I only pledged for $1. 

You will get a survey and you will be able to add any of the items in the Pre-order store at the Kickstarter prices. There are a few exclusive item for pledging at a reward level during the campaign for actual reward levels. Because you pledged, you change your pledge level to.. for example a topper reward you then can take advantage the extra awards like the extra mat for only $50 or the Free goblet holders with a topper pledge.

Greetings Game Topper Nation!

You did it! It was right down to the wire! What a horse race! My heart is so full of gratitude and thankfulness for everyone who contributed. 
 I mentioned I might take a nap, but I actually have three business meetings so the nap will have to come later and then get refreshed and make sure we get everything working well for all of our awesome backers.

My son Josiah has been working behind the scenes, tirelessly working on the Kickstarter pledge survey and the backer kit pledge manager. I am very proud of Josiah. He carries in an immense load extremely well! We hope to run the smoke test July 21 and have it fully running by July 24. Our late pledge options will be just before Gen Con. 

 My daughter, Hannah, who has worked on all of our graphics and put in so much extra time to make this possible. You’re doing an amazing job, honey. I’m so proud of you!

First off, I cannot thank you all enough for your support and encouragement. So many kind words and enthusiasm for the products we have created. Our whole goal when I started this thing was to upgrade peoples gaming experience. Little by little, over the last 8 years, we have continued to add value and create upgrades to the upgrade. lol.

You made it over 175,000! Let's see it we can hit $200,000 in the next 6 hours!

Raymond made a video of many of the accessories that you can take advantage of utilizing the sovereign pledge level. There are a lot of options. It is hard to showcase all of these in a campaign where we have so many items. That being said, I would encourage you to take a look at this helpful video.

Thank you all so much for your awesome enthusiastic feedback, encouragement and support. You did it we unlocked the extra mat for only $50 stretch goal at 150,000. What a deal!

Couple quick updates to the campaign. We have some amazing Stretch Goals to unlock. We have a way to go for some of them, but we are pulling out the stops and cutting margins to offer you the best we can! Let's push this thing to 200,000!

• Three options of Oak inlays - just select the Limited edition reward level.

NEW Ryan Laukat art: He just sent me some new Easter eggs that he added to the Arzium mat. This is so fun!!! 

Here are some of the elements he has added so far.

• A cloud dragon
• Three gliding birdfolk
• A pack of Glogos

Leg kits

We just received some of the parts. I apologize for he delay. We paid to have these parts be air freighted a month ago, but a miscommunication happened from our supplier and they ended up getting slow boat shipped. It is a bit frustrating working in the manufacturing world with many moving parts and until you work in this side of the industry I'm sure it seems like it should be easier than it looks, but it is par for the course -these thing happen. 

The good news is... the parts we received look and perform better than expected. We have worked with this manufacture for 4 years and have had very good success. We have also been prototyping the new quick attach center support system in 5 conventions for over a year. It works great. Those that know me know I have a high standard. We did set up a Mycroft and show some quick pictures to give you an idea of how great this new solution works.

The Mycroft video below has 2 quick attach center supports. Because it is 48" wide it uses 2 legs for each support. It's a bit overkill and can just use 1 leg in the center, but it does add to some stability. The legs are significantly recessed so you do not hit your legs or chairs with them. In fact, you hardly see them when sitting or standing next to the table.

The thumbnail graphic above shows an upgrade path if you have a current leg kit but may want to upgrade to adjustable legs or the new quick attach center support system. If you are new, you can add the leg kit in the KS add on's or the pledge manager.

Of course, the Holmes and Watson only have 2 sections, so you only need 1 center support and 1 leg attached to the center of the steel plate.  We are very happy with the support the legs give. We also have an inside connecter splice that secures the aluminum rail to be very solid and attaches with 2 screws, so super easy to install and take apart in minutes. The video shows this.

Happy 4th of July, NEW Stretch Goals and leg kit news 7-4 -25

Greetings Game Topper Nation! 

Happy 4th of July if you celebrate here in the USA. 

I questioned whether I should send out an update today as a lot of folks are busy this summer holiday, but realized I won't get another update out till Monday and then it will only be 5 days left!!! I have a couple of bits of news!

• New Stretch Goals
• Leg Kit parts arrived
• Walnut Easels

It has gone very quickly. I have answered tons of questioning in the private messenger, comments section and by email and it has been an overwhelmingly positive experience. So many people just love our products!

I got an message from Amber who did a mostly non-compensated video for us with "a meeple family" at bottom of page, it's awesome. That being said, this dear lady saw her video and bought a oak table from us.

I can not tell you how tickled I got watching her video. She is in love! She was so well versed in our product and she made this video just because she wanted to show people just how good these tables really are. 

Susan is so delightful, I kept going over to my wife to show her the enthusiasm she displayed. Thank you Susan for doing this. I hope to meet you some day!

New Stretch Goals - We have a bit of time left and quite a bit of marketing energy going out, but we need some help getting over the hump and gaining some momentum. This is not our first rodeo so to speak. Many of you know, the last few days tend to go big, similar to what we do on the first few days, so we are hopeful we can move the needle and get to $200,000. Please help share the word!

We have also been prototyping the new quick attach center support system in 5 conventions for over a year. It works great. Those that know me know I have a high standard. Due to the holiday week end I was unable to get a video done, but we did set up a Mycroft and show some quick pictures to give you an idea of how great this new solution works.

This is what it looks like from the underside. You simply attach the legs to the center support plate, go under the table and place between the section of the topper at an angle and level.

We also have an inside connecter splice that secures the aluminum rail to be very solid and attaches with 1 screw, so super easy to install and take apart in minutes. I'll do my best to make a video Monday.

• Walnut Easel

Lastly, We have had several request to make a walnut Easel for those of our backers that have Walnut inlay rails. (We currently do not offering)

Josh is working on sourcing some walnut so that we can do our best to closely finish match. This will be a higher price, but once we get the numbers back I will let you know if it is feasible an what we can offer them for. Normally low volume production is very difficult but Josh is a very good craftsman and can cut the parts at the same time and said he'd be willing to do it if we could source the lumber okay.
