Game Toppers 5.0 Fulfillment Update May 21st

Hello Game Topper Nation! 

Fulfillment has been running at full speed ahead since the last update. We are excited to tell you we are at the final stretch. Our team has been working diligently, even my wife Joan has been lending a hand!  We are very nearly finished with the Kickstarter Pledges, however we wanted to give you one last update to the schedule since we are nearing the end of what we had written out before.

US Backers: 

The majority of pledges have already been completed. We are shipping out the last dozen Topper pledges of the Kickstarter campaign today, along with beginning the final group of Kickstarter accessory pledges that still have to be shipped. All of you in these groups have already received your address verification emails. We will have most of them shipped out this week, but some of the accessory pledges may not go out until Wednesday May 27th. At that point all US Kickstarter Pledges will have been fulfilled!

Canada Backers: 

Fulfillment Complete! Yay!!!

UK Backers: 

The pledges have all arrived at the UK warehouse. They are quite busy with the UK Games Expo, but fulfillment should be beginning shortly. Once your pledge ships you will get a tracking email from Zatu. Everything should be delivered well before the end of June. Big fun will soon be coming your way.

If you are at the UK Games Expo please stop by. we are in Booth 756 in hall 4. You'll see the large inflatable top hat above our booth. We have a few show specials.

EU Backers: 

We are in the process of packaging up the EU pledges. These should be packaged within the next 2 weeks. At which point they will begin their journey over to the EU. That puts the Order in Germany in mid July, and then expected final delivery to backers doors happening sometime in Late July/Early August. 

BackerKit Late Pledges: 

Once we have finished all of the EU pledge packing, then we will be moving into shipping the Late Pledges that remain. This should only take 1-2 weeks. So if you are one of the backers in this group, you should expect a shipping notification by the middle of June at the latest. If there is any specific information related to your pledge, we will reach out via email.

Hello Game Topper Nation,

Just a very brief update as we move into the weekend, but we wanted to let you all know things are moving along according to schedule! Our aluminum arrived as expected and we have been hard at work prepping and packaging. I'll copy and paste the schedule from the last update below for reference with notes on the completed sections

Fulfillment Timeline:

• March 23rd-April 8th
  • UK Pledges are packed and ship out to the warehouse in the UK (Completed)
  • Ship as many US non-Topper pledges for which we have all items in stock. We will do as many as we can until our aluminum order arrives. (Expected by April 9th) (We got through about 70% of these before the aluminum arrived. The remainder will ship out next week)
• April 9th-17th
  • Pre-package all Canadian pledges for shipment to Canadian warehouse (Completed, currently in the process of shipping to Canada. Still on track for the fulfillment dates below)
  • Shipping of USA Viking and High Fantasy Toppers. (Prep work nearly completed. All will be shipped by Tuesday, April 21st)
• April 18th-30th
  • EU Pledges are all packaged and depart for the EU warehouse.
  • Begin final fulfillment of all remaining US Topper & Accessory pledges.
• May 1st-22nd
  • Canadian pledges have arrived in Canada and final deliveries to backers completed. 
  • During this 3 week window the majority of US pledges should complete and ship out. Shipments will be going out daily until completion.
• May 23rd-30th
  • Clean up any remaining Late Pledges.
• June
  • EU & UK pledges ship out from the local hubs and arrive at your doors!

Hello Game Topper Nation!

We have been hard at work since our last update, but wanted to give an update to the fulfillment timeline as things have adjusted slightly since then.

When we wrote the last update, we were waiting on 3 more shipments of products to arrive in order to have everything on hand for our fulfillment. We'll call them the Floor shipment, the Leg Kit shipment, and the Aluminum shipment. The first two were supposed to arrive by the end of February, with the aluminum following in the first couple weeks of March. That was going to allow us to meet the schedule we put out in the last update.

The Floor and Leg Kit shipments arrived on time.

However, when it came time for the aluminum to be finished at the beginning of March, Burky received an email while at The Gama trade show that the parts had run into a quality assurance flaw. Our quality control requirements are rigorous. There was visible deformation of the rails that had not been caught until late in the production process. The whole shipment of material, almost 10,000lbs, had to be scrapped and redone.

As you can imagine Burky was quite upset and immediately set up a meeting to address this. It’s unfortunate, but these issues are not uncommon in manufacturing. 

This news sent us into a mad scramble as we tried to figure out what that would mean for our timelines. Our manufacturer had already put the rerun of material at the highest priority, but we didn't have any concrete information on when it would be finished. We are happy to say, that the corrected material has been finished at this time and is already in route to our powder coater, which means are are only about 1-2 weeks from receiving those parts.

What does that mean for the Kickstarter fulfillment? In total, this delay has put us about 3 weeks behind the schedule that we put out in the last update. 

In the meantime, we have not been idle. Since we received our new Leg Kit parts, we have a number of non-Topper pledges that we now have all products in stock for and are working to ship out in the US. 

Additionally, we have decided to move the UK fulfillment ahead of schedule. We was needed as we also needed to send a shipment of our booth equipment for the UK Games Expo in May, and we have just enough product in house to package the UK pledges now to send them along at the same time. This means those pledges may possible arrive to backers in May instead of the previous June estimate. 

We did not have enough products on hand to proceed with the Canadian pledges until this aluminum order arrives. The moment it does, we will be going back the previously planned order of the schedule from our last update.  

Burky is at Adepticon now, and will be visiting the Powder coater in Minneapolis to inspect the aluminum and insure prompt arrival of parts. 

This is what that updated schedule looks like:

Conclusion:

We thank you all for your patience as we navigate these delays that are outside of our control. We have tried very hard to meet the goals that we set forth and we are very aware of the disappointment and frustrations that come along with delays from your perspective as Backers. The last thing we want to do is cause those feelings and we are deeply grieved when we cannot meet the expectations we communicate with you. 

We try to do our best to communicate openly and as promptly as we can about the challenges and issues we face. Sometimes we can't get that information to you as quickly as we would like as many moving parts cause a bit of a fog-of-war scenario were we have to wait for answers from multiple sources to get accurate information. We hope you can trust that we are doing our very best to get these pledges into your hands as quickly as possible.

We expect as we get into the bulk of fulfillment over the next two months that there will be a number of very short updates just letting you know how the schedule is progressing. We hope they will just be "Everything is moving as planned, we are now onto X part of the schedule".

Hello Game Topper Nation! 

Welcome to the first update of 2026! We hope you all had a great Holiday season!

Thank you for your patience as we waited for some additional details so as to get you all the most accurate information as possible. 

The last several months have been super busy, packed with preparations for fulfillment, including a container load of mats and storage bags that arrived just after Christmas! That shipment included the all new Arzium and Underwater Worlds mats from this campaign as well as restocks for many styles in preparation for fulfillment. They look Fantastic!!! If you are a Ryan Laukat fan you are definitely going to love this mat for his Arzium world. I can't wait to get Aquatica on the new underwater mat!! I keep finding cool stuff!

On To Fulfillment Timelines:

We began fulfilling some pledges in December before the holidays way a head of schedule for some instock items, and now in February with products arriving we are beginning the next group of US orders. (If you are a part of this group, you would have gotten an address verification over the last weekend.)

Once this group is complete, we will be about 25%-30% of the way done with the entire fulfillment of the campaign!

There have been a couple minor delays in some of our products arriving due to Christmas shipping congestion at ports and aluminum productions delays due to the holidays. 

That being said, it is only slightly putting us behind. The remaining US pledges as well as the Canadian shipment will all start shipping/packaging in March instead of February as previously planned. We have two more container shipments that are both currently on the water, the first is due to arrive in the next 2-3 weeks, while the second which contains our new Leg Kit parts, is due to arrive sometime in the first couple weeks of March. Lastly, our order of aluminum for many of the Toppers of this campaign is also due to arrive to our warehouse about that same timeframe of the 1-2 week of March.  We will be busy!!!

The moment those shipments have arrived we are free to begin fulfillment with no restrictions on what can be shipped! We will have some packaging, specifically for the aluminum that will need to happen, but we otherwise will be spending the majority of the time between now and then in pre-packing sub-set of orders and preparing all the materials for packing the aluminum once it does arrive. We are doing our very best to minimize the impact this delay has on our overall fulfillment timeline. We had always planned to begin fulfillment for the US & Canada in February and have that process continue on to finish in March. We had hoped to be about 50% done in February, but with the reduction in what we can do this month we expect fulfillment to go through March into early April as well. 

This will continue right into the international fulfillment for the UK & EU backers which still is planned for June. In order for that to happen, we will need to have everything packaged up and ready to leave our warehouse in April. From there the pre-packaged pledges will ship out to warehouses in the UK & EU for final delivery to your door!

To summarize, here is the expected fulfillment timeline as it stands with all the information we have currently:

• February 
  • Finish fulfillment up to the 25% mark with products currently on hand.
• March 16th-31st
  • Finish packaging for recently arrived products.
  • Pre-package all Canadian pledges for shipment to Canadian warehouse
  • Begin final shipment of all remaining US pledges
• April 1st-17th
  • Canadian pledges arrive in Canada and begin to ship out to backers. We hope all deliveries would be complete before the end of April.
  • During this 2 week window the majority of US pledges should complete and ship out. Shipments will be going out daily until completion.
• April 20th-30th
  • EU & UK Pledges are all packaged and depart for their respective warehouses.
  • Clean up of any other Late Pledges
• June
  • EU & UK pledges ship out from the local hubs and arrive at your doors!

Fulfillment Update:

Hello Game Topper Nation!

Just a short update here. If you don't want to read past this, the summary is everything is still on track for Fulfillment to begin for the US and Canada in February 2026 with UK and EU fulfillment in June 2026!

For more details. We have been busy placing orders with all our various suppliers. All of the overseas products have been ordered already, one container of products including all of our new game mats and restocks for existing styles has already been shipped and is expected to arrive right between Christmas/New Years. The remaining shipments should be arriving early-mid February for fulfillment. 

We are in the middle of placing orders with our remaining US suppliers whose productions times have us receiving those products right around the middle of January to the beginning of February.

Early Fulfillment:

There is a very small number of US pledges that we will shortly have everything in stock for. Those pledges we are looking to start shipping out in the weeks leading up to Christmas! If you are part of this segment, you will receive an address confirmation email within the next couple of days.

For the majority of you, it will not be the case. Please refrain from sending emails just to ask if you are part of this segment of Backers; if you did not receive an address confirmation email from Backerkit over the next few days then your pledge will be fulfilled per our scheduled fulfillment timelines listed above.
